Wow, it's been a long while since we last posted on this blog.  We've given most...okay, all...of our attention to Charity and her blog.

We are all doing well and are still adjusting to our new life as a family.  Lee and I still look at eachother every-so-often and say "Holy cow, can you believe it? We are parents! We are so old!"  We're learning the true value of a binki and a blanky.  Our livingroom looks like a baby store exploded inside it.  We have a cabinet devoted to Charity's collection of bottles and whatnot.  She has her own room, but of course still sleeps in ours.  And we've taken more pictures of her than the paparazzi has of Brittany Spears.

Lee and I both start school up again in late April.  I will be working on my internships, and getting everything set for graduation (finally), and Lee will be starting out on his new major and minor (Sociology and Recreational Management).  We are preparing for a trip to California during Easter time and to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.  In August, my grandparents will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  Lee has been also getting ready for a trip out to Chicago, where he'll pick up a group of youth, tour the city a bit, then bring them to a camp in Idaho for a couple of weeks.  He's really excited about it.

Our Little Christmas Present

We got up early Tuesday morning to head out to the hospital. Even though Lee plowed the snow out of our driveway the day before, it needed it again. Luckily one of the mechanics was already up and plowing and cleared the way for us. We spent Lee's birthday in the hospital, hoping that anytime Charity would be born. We watched the time pass by slowly and watched midnight approach. Five minutes before midnight the doctor sad we were good to start delivering. We pushed only for 20 minutes and at 12:15 AM on the morning of Christmas Eve Charity was born.
She is as cute as can be and is such a good baby. She slept well though the night and the next day.

The waiting game is nearly done!

Today, we are doing all of our last minute errands and chores around house and town. We're trying to get everything set. Tomorrow we get to go into the hospital and have our baby girl, Charity, be born! And on Christmas day, weather permitting, we get to bring her home.
It's a great time to celebrate! Tomorrow is also Lee's birthday, so from now on Daddy and Daughter will get to share their special day.

Charity's Quilt

Grandpa & Grandma McCain stepped in and are helping with Charity's quilt that we had started but never finished. They are almost done. This is a picture of the front of the quilt. Grandma says it reminds her of a candy store. You can easily tell which one block I did compared to all of the other blocks Grandpa and Grandma put together.

Thank you, Grandpa & Grandma McCain!

Waiting Time

Lee and I are in our last week of school. We are just working on finals and last minute touches to the nursery, as we wait wondering when Charity will decide to be born. Our little family is about to grow really soon, as Lee and I become parents to a tiny little girl. We're hanging in there as best as we can and simply waiting.
