Drama, Drama, Drama!

Last Sunday night we were driving home from Lee's family's home. On our way home we saw fire trucks on their way to an emergency. Looking at the speeding trucks and flashing lights we say "I hope it's no one we know". Driving further on we see the trucks arrive behind our neighbors' trees. We freak out and figure the fire trucks must be either at our neighbors' home (who are out of town) or our home! We pull in to see fire trucks and police cars in our driveway! Ahhh! No one was hurt. No one lost their home. One of the tractors behind our home randomly caught on fire. It's a mess, but it could have been a lot worse.

We head back to Lee's family's home at 1AM and the detectives and whatnot are still at our home. On the road there we find kittens in the middle of the road. We now have a cute little orange and white kitten. Lee has named him "Dash".

Opps!

Lee got frustrated with his long hair and randomly decided to cut his own hair. It looked terrible. He called up his brother, Rick, who made an attempt to fix it. Finally, Rick called his girlfriend, Sophie (a hair dresser), and she did what she could (short of shaving it all off) with what was left. It looks much better now, except for a small bald spot behind one of Lee's ears.

Family Retreat

Last weekend we went to a family reunion in Wells, NV of all places. It was fun to see so much family. And they enjoyed seeing how much Charity has grown, or even meeting her for the first time.
On the way home we stopped in Twin Falls, ID. We drove around the new temple there and stopped next to the bridge to see the sights!

Family Vacation

We just got back from our fun filled family vacation in Northern California. We went all over the place, or so it seemed. We traveled to Yosemite National Park, the Sacramento Zoo, a park, the Arden Fair Mall, an iMax theater (3D Monsters vs. Aliens), Santa Cruz, a Ghiradelli Chocolate outlet, a couple of Apple stores, and many restaurants. We went with no set plans, relying on the weather, company, and sites. We also visited family and friends all over. They had not yet had the chance to meet baby Charity. We brought home many souvenirs and almost a sweet golden retriever puppy. The weather was great in California for us, and we were very reluctant to go home. Thanks to all those who made our trip fun, comfortable, and worthwhile.

Wow, it's been a long while since we last posted on this blog.  We've given most...okay, all...of our attention to Charity and her blog.

We are all doing well and are still adjusting to our new life as a family.  Lee and I still look at eachother every-so-often and say "Holy cow, can you believe it? We are parents! We are so old!"  We're learning the true value of a binki and a blanky.  Our livingroom looks like a baby store exploded inside it.  We have a cabinet devoted to Charity's collection of bottles and whatnot.  She has her own room, but of course still sleeps in ours.  And we've taken more pictures of her than the paparazzi has of Brittany Spears.

Lee and I both start school up again in late April.  I will be working on my internships, and getting everything set for graduation (finally), and Lee will be starting out on his new major and minor (Sociology and Recreational Management).  We are preparing for a trip to California during Easter time and to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.  In August, my grandparents will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  Lee has been also getting ready for a trip out to Chicago, where he'll pick up a group of youth, tour the city a bit, then bring them to a camp in Idaho for a couple of weeks.  He's really excited about it.

Our Little Christmas Present

We got up early Tuesday morning to head out to the hospital. Even though Lee plowed the snow out of our driveway the day before, it needed it again. Luckily one of the mechanics was already up and plowing and cleared the way for us. We spent Lee's birthday in the hospital, hoping that anytime Charity would be born. We watched the time pass by slowly and watched midnight approach. Five minutes before midnight the doctor sad we were good to start delivering. We pushed only for 20 minutes and at 12:15 AM on the morning of Christmas Eve Charity was born.
She is as cute as can be and is such a good baby. She slept well though the night and the next day.
